Benes draws this issue well although he still is a poor storyteller that relies on grandstanding shots of people standing around full of angst without doing much. The section by Marco Marz actually show what a better artist can deliver in but a few pages and how Benes is overrated and out of his league in a book like Green Lantern. Read Full Review
This issue nearly jumped into Buy It range, but the thin plot in the main story and the unnecessary backup story drag it down. I will say, however, that this is the best John Stewart has been written in a very long time and that this issue is worth a read for that reason alone. Read Full Review

In Itself, a good issue. The Blackest Night event is dragging a bit, though.
Poor John never gets the writing his deserves. “I’m a soldier with a chip on my shoulder” lol who even thinks that to themselves.
He's finally over Xanshi, for now...
