Archie and Jughead's plan to save their girls from the dangers of the big city is foiled when Reggie tags along...and "Harley and Ivy" end up needing to rescue their saviors. But things can always get worse, and they do when Reggie leads some real Gotham gangsters back home to Riverdale!
While the story itself is clich in nature, the writers have done a fantastic job at making the story enjoyable. The nature of the plot makes it predictable. However, it is still extremely fun to read due to the antics of the characters. Harley and Ivy Meet Betty and Veronica is a character-driven story that seamlessly blends the "coming of age" themes of Archie with Batman's psychological themes, which is more clearly realized in issue five. While the miniseries is quite fun, it deals with issues that both teenagers and adults can easily relate. Read Full Review

After a few entertaining issues that maybe dragged out the body-swap plotline a bit too much, Harley and Ivy Meet Betty and Veronica #5 speeds up its plot in a big way with this packed issue that brings the two groups of gal pals together again for team-ups and betrayals. Read Full Review

The best way I can describe Harley & Ivy Meet Betty and Veronica, is to say that it's an exercise in what writers shouldn't do with a crossover of this nature. You're most likely coming into this because you love the characters featured in the book, but I'm still looking for said characters since their representation here falls so short of my expectation.
