The use of "Superman and the Mole Men plot elevated my enjoyment of Superman Unlimited #7 a great deal. That being said, given the epically high major stakes playing out in the majority of DC comics at the moment, it was also just nice to have a fun little adventure with a satisfying ending. Don't get me wrong. I love a good homage and nods to comic history. I mean Sophie Campbell's Supergirl is stuffed with them. But I think they need to add to the story ... not be the story. Fun issue. Great art. But also an odd diversion. Read Full Review
An interesting change of pace for this title, with the focus abruptly shifting to Jon Kent and strange goings-on in Smallville. With a nice dialogue assist from Jeremy Adams, this one-and-done tale features a nice callback to the old Adventures of Superman tv show.
