    Comicosity - Nick Couture Oct 7, 2014

Swamp Thing #35 is another fine start to an arc. I'm excited to see more of the kingdom of machines. This book is as good as anything being published anywhere. Constantly great comics. Read Full Review

Nerds Unchained - Connor Frigon Oct 6, 2014

Jesus Saiz brings his A-game to his last Appearances on this title. His penchant for creating immediately striking images from the endless growth of plants, flesh and fungi helped but Swamp Thing on the map. However this story plays out, Soule and Saz are going down swinging. Read Full Review

Very talky and not terribly original, though it's all written and drawn very well. Read Full Review

Geeked Out Nation - Jideobi Odunze Oct 1, 2014

Swamp Thing #35 is the start of a story that can really go somewhere depending on what happens between the Green and the Machine. While this issue does answer questions about the things we saw in Swamp Thing Future's End #1, it is better that you didn't have to read it to get what's going on in the present. As one of the better tie-ns to Future's End, Charles Soule made the wise choice in taking advantage of the opportunities this eventual war of Kingdoms has created. Read Full Review

    Comics: The Gathering - F.D. White Oct 1, 2014

Swamp Thing is now on an upswing after the fantastic Futures End issue. Now with "The Machine Queen" off to such a strong start, I have no doubt that Charles Soule will end his run with a bang. Read Full Review

DC Comics News - Robert Reed Oct 2, 2014

SWAMP THING #35 is another great entry in Charles Soule's run. Jesus Saiz's artwork dazzles as always, and the combination of both art and narrative makes SWAMP THING a must read series, even if the arc looks a little standard at this point. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Doug Zawisza Oct 6, 2014

The Calculus is reminiscent of the Construct, but with a decidedly timeless spin. (The Calculus is technologically tethered, but independent of specific tech, whereas the Construct usually had connections to transistors, keypads or LCD.) "Swamp Thing" #35 widens the scope of the Kingdoms, and gives Swamp Thing and the Green a whole new set of beings with which to contend. Soule, Saiz, Hollingsworth and Lanham craft a sharp set-up issue here and position the Machines to make a lasting impact in a story that showcases a different kind of horrific monster. Population Go - Chris Lemmerman Oct 13, 2014

This new arc of Swamp Thing has some great new characters, an interesting take on the idea of Kingdoms, and some of the best design work of the series so far. As always, Soule, Saiz and the rest of the creators on this book are doing their absolute best, and this issue is yet another in a very long line of excellent ones. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Eric Shea Oct 7, 2014

While I normally don't review this title, I did enjoy it a lot.  We've got a really good looking story here thanks to the pencils of Jesus Saiz and I dig this take on the Machines becoming a new kingdom to which Swamp Thing will undoubtedly have a lot of problems with.  Just a cool opening to this ongoing tale and I loved the style of speech that the agent of the Machines has.  It was something that made me laugh with every sentence.  Go check it out and get a dose of the Green you need. Infinite Comix - Daren Taveras Oct 4, 2014

Swamp Thing #35 starts off in a weird place. By taking a sharp turn in tone, the book failed to hit its usual mark. That being said, Soule and Saiz find their footing midway through the book and expand on the world they have sculpted. Although the Calculus are introduced in a wonky way, they deliver an intriguing ending that will keep the reader's attention and excite them for next month's issue. Read Full Review
