Overall, Tales From Earth-6: A Celebration of Stan Lee #1 is jam-packed with more entertaining stories than not, cluttered with some outstanding artists, legendary writers, and all for a pretty manageable price. Comic fans will definitely get more bang for their buck as the plethora of artists and writers pay tribute to the Godfather of comics and at DC to boot. Sure, a few of the character renditions are a bit too weird. However, many were wildly fascinating and kept this reviewer quite interested from start to finish. I highly recommend giving Tales From Earth-6: A Celebration of Stan Lee #1 a fair shake, especially with some of that extra Christmas cash you got from your parents this holiday season. Let me know what you think, have a great week, and God Bless! Read Full Review
Tales from Earth-6: A Celebration of Stan Lee #1serves as both a tribute to one of the most influential comic book creators and a peek into a DC Universe brimming with promise. Hopefully, this isn't the last we've heard of Earth-6, as I'd love to see this world's take on icons like the Teen Titans. Read Full Review
These stories are all incredibly short. Most of them use their time to deliver incredibly concise and captivating combinations of solid art and writing. Personally I really like the fact that I can pick this up and immediately feel either horrified or uplifted depending on how I want to feel that day. There are definitely some weaker links in here but almost all are above average and it's always refreshing to at least see these familiar heroes be presented with a unique twist and an incredibly talented roster of writers and artists! Overall, there are some good stories and fun characters in this, and it's great to see DC paying tribute to one of the GOATs. But these versions of the characters didn't catch on when they were released, and I can sort of see why. Read Full Review

Stan Lee and a team of uber creatives have put together something very special. Most who are purist will not give this a chance and that's understood, but Lee's re-imagining of the JL is intriguing and refreshing. I particularly loved the retelling of Wonder Woman from an Inca Mythos lens. As a one shot it's a worthy read if your tired of the same super heroes and the expected.
I never read the original Just Imagine books, only heard about them. They seemed very weird and wacky and maybe like a bit of fun, but not enough to actually seek them out. This anthology has some good stories and some mediocre ones, but what stands out to me is this overall sense of cynicism that this universe seems to really revel in. I don't know if Stan Lee intended that, or if that's an accident, or if that's something wholly new that just manifested in this anthology, but it makes for a less than desirable read for me.
