If this was the final issue of this series it would have let the series end on a high note, unfortunately it isn't and I fear this comic will be remembered for a lackluster finale instead of this great issue. If you haven't been picking this comic up, shame on you by the way, then you will be lost so I suggest skipping it. If you are a fan of Talon, you need this issue and you need to write DC and tell them why they need to save this series. Without a doubt, this is the best comic of the week. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Jordan Richards Jan 1, 2014

Talon #14 was a fantastic ending for the writer's run that did almost everything right. Its only problem is the questionable artwork, but even then, it doesn't sink this great experience. Fans of Talon, you are in for a treat. Read Full Review

Gotham Spoilers - Gotham Spoilers Jan 1, 2014

While this book isn't cancelled (for this month, anyways) this is the way you'd like a title to go out, with a clear ending, everything wrapped up in a nice little package, not a rushed mess of "I don't know, just get everything over with, or something… whatever!" like how most New 52 books end… Again, the book isn't over… but c'mon, it sort of is. Aside from some art inconsistencies and some confusions I had to what the whole evil plan was that Calvin and Batman was trying to stop, it was a really good finale of sorts. I've really greatly enjoyed this series since the beginning, and I really hope Calvin and his allies continue to appear in Gotham. Read Full Review

Weekly Comic Book Review - Noah Sharma Jan 4, 2014

The art suits the artist as the story suits the storyteller and the conclusion leaves us where we would hope. Talon stands as a single impressive arc, one of redemption, loss, and love. It's not often that superhero comics manage to tell such a complete story, but I'm glad this one can claim that rare honor. Talon #14 is more enjoyable than it is well crafted, but it has a fair share of both. Read Full Review

I can see why Talon didn't last, but I really kind of wish it had. The New 52 needs interesting new heroes like Talon. Read Full Review

James Tynion does his best to end the tale of Calvin Rose in Talon #14.  Most of the loose threads are tied up satisfactorily.  The Court of the Owls will survive and so will our favorite Talon, for a couple of issues at least. Read Full Review

Talon #14 is a satisfying albeit overly happy ending that ties up all the loose ends, but it's dampened by some very lackluster artwork. Read Full Review

Tynion and Simeoni have had a great run and closes up Calvin story nicely and hints an exciting direction he is now going in. It's a shame his solo series is coming to an end but Tynion has definitely made it known that this not the last time we will see the Talon Calvin Rose. Read Full Review
