As the former residents of New Genesis attempt to find their footing as Earth’snewest inhabitants, the Justice League remains split concerning whether itshould allow the New Gods permanent residence. But this debate is cut shortwhen Apokoliptians make their appearance on Earth, joined by Maxwell Lord andhis near-infinite resources, in search of the newest New God and the potentiallyworlds-shattering power he holds within.
This issue has plenty of suspense, but it definitely is the lowest-key issue of the run so far. I think that's something that works very well, as after the chaos of this first arc, pulling back on the impact of the war was essential.
