Wonder Woman versus the Shining Knight? As our hero seeks to stop the Image Maker, this warrior reveals his true intentions. But is he friend or foe? If Diana wants to save the world, she’s going to need all the allies she can get! Things come crashing together at the end of the issue in advance of the big Spring crossover that starts in March. Dianas as graceful as ever with endearing appeal thanks to some very sharp characterization in and out of action by Conrad, Cloonan, and Takara. Wonder Woman has reached a really nice momentum. Villainy Inc. would've been enough to sell me on this issue, but we also get a fantastic battle sequence between Wonder Woman and the Image-Maker. We also learn the identity of the Shining Knight. All before Diana leaps head-first into theTrial of the Amazons! The future is bright for our amazon princess. Read Full Review
Takara delivers some great action in the art. There are some big, dynamic visual moments to be found and I really enjoyed the style and tone of the art. Read Full Review
This arc did feel like it was keeping time until Trial of the Amazons begins and sets up Diana's long-term status quo, but it did enough interesting things that I think it closed things out on a high note. Read Full Review
Like it or not, "Trial of the Amazons" is on the way- there's no stopping it! However, the unmasking of the Shining Knight and Dr. Psycho's continued plotting will provide Diana with more challenges either in "Trial" or in the story arc after the crossover. All roads are heading to Trial of the Amazons now and that might be a welcome change for a book that's felt like it's been running in place for too many months. Read Full Review
Overall, it's an okay issue. It does what it sets out to do. Read Full Review
Except for some stilted dialogue I loved everything about this. The revelations of both the main story and the backup make or break this finale for both stories. For me, they worked.
I appreciate how connected everything is and how Trial of the Amazons has been built up.
Cloonrad continue to play the long game. I am looking forward to the stories they are going to tell after the event is over because it doesn't look as if there is time for Diana to slow down.
Looking forward to Trial of the Amazons.
This was a lackluster conclusion to a lackluster arc. I was not impressed by anything this issue had to offer. Really feels like this run is running on fumes ever since Wonder Woman left Asgard.
Wonder Woman - 6.5/10, decent first half, boring second half, though I will say this issue was one of the better ones
Road to Trial of The Amazons - 5/10, extremely unengaging script, I really couldn't care less about the upcoming event
