RED SONJA (VOL. 7) #4 begins the battle for Velanger with plenty of battle action, brutal deaths, and loads of energy, but very little movement on the plot. That said, the crux of the issue relies on a big reveal that isnt as big or surprising. Read Full Review

The battle for the city takes place showing the magnitude of the villain. The stranger shows up again flitting between bodies to tell Sonja that this is not a battle she can win. This issue had the reveal of her unlikely partner and illustrating that she will have no choice but to team with an ememy to beat a larger, deadlier foe. Having Sonja run from a battle is completely out of character, but understandable in this case. Some of the captions are a bit clunky, but I'm looking foward to the next one and the covers continue to be awesome.
