After a clumsy if enthusiastic start, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #6 may be the issue where the series finds its stride. If you're a Turtles fan from any era, I can highly recommend this issue. If you're not, this is a good place to check out what the franchise has to offer. Read Full Review
Dan Duncan provides more engaging art, though the ongoing problem of fudged human anatomy is still present. That said, his exaggerated style works well with the turtles and other non-human characters, playing up the ridiculous nature of the characters and their world. IDWs new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series has slowly been improving with each issue. Now with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #6 we are finally starting to see the build up from the first arc being fully fleshed out. The issue feels a little like filler as it spends most of its time setting up stories that will be told in the next few issues. Still, it opens with a pretty darn good action sequence and does give us the first appearance of the Mousers. Worth a look. Read Full Review
The writing and art are still very solid, but I have to downgrade them both this issue. The past five issues have been either fives or foursand this issue just isn't up to par which is a bummer. Even still the book isbetter than a lot of other titles out there and worth picking up. I'm not surethat this issue is the start of new storyline as it feels as if we're justgoing to keep going with each new chapter. I like that a lot, it breaks fromthat feeling of the six issue story arc that has taken over the storytellingart form of comics. For that it gets kudos, but I really hope the next issue isbetter.
