Artist Juan Samu faced a daunting task. He had to take two franchises that people love and put them both together in his style and make them look cool. He knocked it out of the park. Between the BTF characters and the Rock-em Sock-em robot action, he tells a great visual story that matches the action-packed story. Read Full Review

Overall, Transformers/Back to the Future is an excellent crossover that will have fans of both franchises cheering them on in this fun escapade to the future. The story by Scott is exciting. The art by the creative team is beautiful. Altogether, one of the better crossover stories IDW have done in a long while. Read Full Review

Overall, this is a fantastic start to a promising series. If they can continue to do callbacks to classic lines and visuals from the Back to the Future films and still mix in the Transformers and have them feel organic to the storytelling, this could be an all-time great crossover. Goofy, exaggerated expressions bring out the best emotions out of even the steely Decepticons, and the first chapter has set up a story that could have infinite outcomes just as Dr. Brown suggested. Read Full Review

I generally enjoyed Transformers/Back to the Future #1. There's a fun aspect to it all where it doesn't take itself too seriously. It also knows its material and feels like it revels in switching up some of the roles and aspects in Back to the Future to fit the Transformers in. It's what comics should be, fun. For fans of both properties, it'll get you to want to buckle up and go back in time. Read Full Review

TRANSFORMERS/BACK TO THE FUTURE #1 is one of those rare mashups that lives up to expectations. The nostalgia and eater eggs in the story are amped up to 11, and the art will be satisfying for both longtime fans and new readers. This is a fun little book that's worth your time and money.
