NEW STORY ARC! Grandpa Judd refuses to give up the fight even as young Meg begins what could possibly be her final transformation...or is it the world that will be transformed?
Family Tree #5 felt like a sucker punch. From the unexpectedly heart-wrenching beginning to the devastating conclusion, every moment of this story hits like a freight train. This is a very heartbreaking chapter in the Family Tree saga. Lemire is great at writing families fighting through distressing, traumatic situations (as evidenced in his Animal Man run too). I'm very excited to see what'll happen next!
Still carries the momentum for Issue 4. There is no action, but unlike Issue 3 what is happening still moves the story forward with much intensity and emotion, and the dialogue by Lemire reflects that. Very intrigued to what will happen now.
It is still intriguing though the pacing is a real issue. The characters are not great either especially Loretta though an exception can be made for Judd and Josh.
Aw no the apocalypse.
Hey so, maybe this should have ended after the little girl turned into a tree huh?
