"One Page Horror Stories." It's a star-studded, make-your-jaw-drop-to-the-floor issue of Ice Cream Man! The challenge: make a comics horror story that's only one page long. And boy, did we find some amazing folks ready to take that one on! Issue 43 will feature one-page horror yarns (all drawn by Morazzo and O'Halloran) from Grant Morrison, Patton Oswalt, Geoff Johns, Kelly Sue Deconnick, Jeff Lemire, Matt Fraction, Zoe Thorogood, and and more! There will also, of course, be plenty of weird one-pagers from W. Maxwell Prince and Team ICM-we wouldn't want to miss out on all the fun!

Ice Cream Man #43 is a masterclass in experimental storytelling, proving that comics remain one of the most versatile artistic mediums. With its stellar lineup of creators, breathtaking variety, and emotional resonance, this issue is a must-read for fans of the series and newcomers alike, though its brevity occasionally leaves certain tales wanting more. This issue is jam packed with super talented writers who bring something different to each page. Ice Cream Mans creator and full-time writer W. Maxwell Prince has multiple stories in this issue, which really ties in the lore of the series. Besides the writers mentioned in the previous section, we also get stories from Deniz Camp, Zoe Thorogood, Jeff Lemire, Frank Barbiere, and Good Old Neon. Some tales outshine others, but all of them capture a different voice and tone. There is literally something for everybody in this story. Read Full Review

There were a few awesome stories. Most were pretty lame for ICM standards. I really felt like the creators involved could have done more. Oh well. Just wasn't my cup of tea.

The past 3 issues have been weak honestly, and I swear Prince himself knows it. Ice Cream Man in the book even says this is a 'hit-or-miss anthology'. Like Most issues use to be hits. I would say 80-90% of the issues 40 and before were pretty great. 41-43 have all week really really weak. I dont know if I am going to continue this if these phoned in issues continue. Do I like the idea of the one-page horrors? Yes, I like it. Do I like the stories themselves? No, about 60% are pretty uninspired or outright boring.
