End of Story Arc. Sarah and Sam's escape from Dome City with their volatile cargo is cut off by an epic battle against Janitor, unleashing the darkest hell imaginable upon world in this pulse-pounding finale of the first chapter!
The various elements being brought into the story feel like theyre all working quite well together, but the narrative IS reaching a crucial point at which things could derail in one direction or another pretty quickly. Time will tell how it all plays-out, but there is a strong sense that the overall integrity of a deeply engaging series seems to be in good hands. The fate of the world is once again in question. Napalm Lullaby #6 is a worthy continuation to a story that accurately criticizes fascism while sacrificing its characters to do so. Remender has basically established himself as one of if not the most prolific writers working in the industry right now. The Art is so well done that it heavily elevates the reading experience. Damn, that finale was pretty f'n cool. When I finished it, I literally said out loud, "holy shit". It was pretty shocking, in a good way.
This has been a great series so far. Great world building, really interesting characters and setting, very good writing and great art. This was an exciting issue with huge action scenes, power displays and big stakes. My only complaint is at the end it started getting kinda confusing, I didn't 100% understand what was going on but I'm sure it'll be made clear within the next issue or two. Can't wait.
