Nocterra #11 proves good writing can make all the difference. The surprises in this issue are telegraphed from a mile away, but they work so well because Synder is that good of a writer. Nocterra concludes its second arc on a high note wrought with violence, action, and new plot threads. Snyder and Daniel have made themselves a compelling new comic book world to explore, and they will do just that as Sundog Convoy continues on toward its inevitable conflict with series big bad Nox. There is a sense of frantic energy throughout Nocterra #11, which goes from the characters to the writing to the art. In an issue full of action, it still has a lot of narration and exposition, giving it a cramped, almost claustrophobic feel at times. Read Full Review
Now that's how you end an arc as bombastic of a premise as this. I was really waiting for this second arc to make its mark, and lo and behold, after what felt like a not-as-impactful past few issues, it's finally done just that. Can't wait for arc three as things are about to get real wild.
