Mini-Series Finale. Everything that Scarlett, Storm Shadow, and Jinx have been planning comes to a head. And the future of the Energon Universe will change forever. The road to G.I. Joe #1 ends here!
Image and Skybound continue to dive into the Energon Universe with the completion of another mini-series featuring another member of the extended cast. Whats frustrating here is the fact that the market may NOT be up to the task of maintaining all of the series that theyve developed as ongoing titles. It would be really, really cool to see Thompson and Ferrari continue with the adventures of Scarlett. Shes really fun as a covert agent breaking into a secure facility. It would be really interesting to see what else Thompson could do with her. Read Full Review

Scarlett #5 lands its finale with a stylish and action-packed issue that wraps up the thrilling espionage story. It continues to set the stage for what's to come in Skybound's Energon Universe. Read Full Review
Until this its hard to view Scarlett #5 as feeling somewhat incomplete. Clearly the story of these characters hasnt been finished and Thompson has them in an intriguing position, but a clearer reveal of whats to come would have been welcome. Read Full Review
Scarlett #5 leaves us off with a conclusion that greatly affects the future of the Energon Universe. It was better than average, but probably my least favorite of the energon universe.
Nonsensical in places and cringe dialogue throughout. The (ahem) red headed step child of the energon universe, but the art is ok so I'll bring the score up a point.
Very oddly paced with a very unsatisfying ending.
