And the clarity of what it is that's going on isn't totally revealed yet. It's still being whimsically weird. But it's being whimsically weird in a way. Nerd Initiative - Mickey Smith
Feb 26, 2025The Seasons presents a solid issue #2 that doesn't lose the momentum of its debut. It's still mysterious and fun. Remender builds the sisters out so well with their individual mannerisms and personalities. All of them actually seem so different that it will ultimately cause a lot of conflict. However, I am excited to see how Remnder plans to bring them together in unison. Also, visually striking artwork that feels familiar and safe seems to be making us feel safe before they pull the rug out from under us. I'm excited to see what's in store! Do you feel the same? Derby Comics - Patrick Savoia-Peterson
Jul 07, 2025In some ways, this story reminds me of Helen of Wyndhorn, with its fantastical backdrop while still focusing on very real personal matters. Even though her interactions with her goldfish Gilbert, Spring clearly has some unresolved issues stemming from her dead parents. Her sisters also have their own individual problems and none of the 4 appear to be on great speaking terms. It all adds up to a captivating adventure full of heart. I liked it to an extent. The art is really cool to look at. But what was really accomplished in this issue? I can't say it really won me over too much.
