What if everthing you thought was funny about Deadpoolwas actually just disturbing? What if he decided to kill everyone and everything that makes up the Marvel Universe? What if he actually pulled it off? Would that be FUN for you? The Merc with a Mouth takes a turn for the twisted in a weekly horror comic like no other
Cullen Bunn is ROCKING this mini. I had mixed feeling about him after a subpar, in my opinion, Spider-Man: Season One, but he's redeeming himself on this awesome mini-series. I love that Deadpool has woken up and realized if he wants to stop all these heroes, he'll have to take out our world, since Wolverine and the other heroes will keep coming back due to US wanting them back. It's perfect for Deadpool's character. Plus, with the Taskmaster fight coming up, as well as the genius way Deadpool took out Daken and X-23, this comic was awesome. If I had any problems, it would be that the Wolverine fight seemed to go very quickly, I would have preferred a shorter convo with Prof. X and a longer fight with Wolverine. Read Full Review
Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe ending up doing exactly what it said it would do on the covers and and as a bit of escapist fun (as well as a guilty pleasure) this miniseries could very well end up being a Marvel highlight of the year. Read Full Review
With one more issue and a confrontation between Deadpool and the one person willing to take him on, it's unclear how this will play out. This isn't meant to be a comic to take seriously as Deadpool is easily taking out all of the Marvel Universe's most powerful heroes. Deadpool's never been more cruel or vicious and it makes you wonder what could he do in a normal story if he was allowed to. I'm still on the fence with the series as a whole. This isn't the Deadpool I'm used to reading, but it's not meant to be. If you're looking for Deadpool to cut loose against everyone, this is a series you'll want to check out. Read Full Review
With the cliff hanger at the end to what Deadpool's endgame is and next week being the final issue of this mini-series I hope that it doesn't completley flop and gives me another reason to care about Deadpool. Read Full Review
While entertaining in premise, a lot more could have been done so far in the series, but it's finally picking up. With the finale on its way, this has at least been an interesting look into the shattered psyche of one of the Marvel Universe's most popular and deranged characters. Read Full Review
If you've been reading this series and you're surprised by this issue, you have no one to blame but yourself. If you're thinking about trying this issue as an introduction to the series or the character, think again. There's nofoothold for new readers and no substance even if you can get into the mood of the book. This series has gone past the status of "waste of money" and into the range of "waste of time,"the point at which I couldn't even recommend the book if you were to get it for free. Read Full Review
But, on the bright side,Dalibor Talajic'sartistic skills have become beter since the last issue. Thats the only good thing about this. Read Full Review
Ultimate mockery. Also wow, Wolvie actually regenerated. Pretty unexpected, you know, knowing what story this is... Well, that was mostly epic.
