Issue 5 is the best issue of the series and a great end to a series with a rocky start. It's a shame this is the end but if the last line of the comic is correct this isn't the last we've seen of Robbie Reyes. As for now it ends on a high and there's not much more you could ask for. While the ending of this story arc provides some epic fight scenes and beautiful art, it doesn't make up for a poorly written story arc that we had to go through. This series started off well and it's taken this long to come close to that level of quality once again. At least we ended on a high note but this comic deserves to be cancelled. Ghost Rider finally deigns to blast the purple space monster with generic shut-you-up hellfire for several pages. The guest stars are utterly useless, Ghost Rider wastes a lot of time, and readers are left without any engaging character or story hooks whatsoever. Artist Danilo Beyruth seems to be just as tired of this story as I am, contributing some lackluster art that really seals in the "blah" feeling of the series as a whole. Even the fan letters at the end illustrate the problem of this series: Fans love Robbie Reyes but have only the most generic of compliments for this particular story. Robbie is a great *concept*, but concepts don't generate entertaining comics by themselves.
