Lighthearted and fun, I will be looking forward to the next issue. I liked this adventure, and the Guardians of the Galaxy will have something as simple and solvable in the next one. Good job team, making room on my shelf for more of this series. Read Full Review

    Geek'd Out - Nico Sprezzatura Nov 2, 2022

The interview device is a clever way to reflect the title (rewinding time through memories and recollections) but I wonder if there were a better way to implement a dialogue-heavy subplot like that amid more propulsive, interesting action. Thats ultimately why Cosmic Rewind feels like such a disappointment, because its not like theres nothing good here. The characters feel like the characters as they exist in various media under Kevin Shinicks pen, and I personally love exaggerated Gerardo Sandovals art style, so no complaints from me there. I just wish there was more to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind beyond it serving as internal brand synergy. Read Full Review

It's a fun little read if you enjoy the dynamic of the current MCU lineup. Read Full Review

A lighthearted romp with loveable characters but not a lot of substance.

It's just a throwaway ohe-shot, but there's a pleasantly surprising amount of effort invested in the storytelling. Gerardo Sandoval does his usual weirdly stylized but highly polished art, and Kevin Shinick cobbles up a pretty well-structured script. He does some good MCU-based humor, too.

The plot's pretty weak, though, and the Celestial hurts more than it helps.

I think Marvel should slap a label on comics like this to just say up front, "This is an MCU tie-in and has nothing to do with 616 continuity." (Although in this case, Drax's characterization is a neon sign saying the same thing.)

This is not good on the script/writing side but good on the art side from Sandoval and company. Was the mandate from editorial to go real heavy on making this book a bad copy of the MCU GOG? because success: We have a really bad copy of James Gunn's movies. Drax especially was butchered here. All of Al Ewing's improvements especially with Quill are gone. I love the movies and I love the GOG as they are in the comics and they should not be twin copies of each other. Some threads and links can be copied but not like this. Skip a 100%. Marvel comics just don't know what to do with these characters.

    This was not good.

I'm pretty sure the writer has only watched the Guardians movies and maybe skimmed a wiki page.

First of all, when did I miss world mind returning? It was messed up in the cancer verse last I was aware and I try to stay on top of Marvel comic stuff since I usually love it. I welcome e the return of World mind but not like this. Not explanation of its return and it wants to understand humans? Like it hadn't already spent all that time with Nova, even captain America briefly, but acts like it has no clue? If it's a new world mind, sure, I can get behind that, but it doesn't state that at all. It's just there with no explanation.

I don't like movie Drax much and this was movie Drax, not co more
