Danny Rand is in Hell. And there are many old friends waiting to see him. Intense action, gripping suspense, and steeped in Iron Fist lore. Ed Brisson, Damian Couceiro, and Andy Troy deliver the second to last issue of this current volume, which so happens to be one of the most satisfying issues in the run. This is hands down the best Iron Fist book in ten years. Read Full Review
"Damnation" is at its heart a Doctor Strange story, but it also happened to spawn a satisfying Iron Fist story in the process. Read Full Review
This issue certainly isn't a ground-breaking read but it is an improvement over last issue. We've gotten into the midst of the action now and action is where Iron Fist always does it's best. The book ends on a good twist (which I won't spoil) and I'm moderately excited for what comes next. Read Full Review
Iron Fist #79 is slower than it needs to be and doesnt throw any unexpected or fresh plot developments at the reader. That said, it is still fun, the characters are entertaining enough, and Couceiro and Troy make sure the comic, especially its fight sequences, look good. This one gets a recommendation, though its not required reading. Feel free to check it out though. Read Full Review
There's a lot of "win fights to reclaim your soul" going around. Eventually, the machinations of middle-management demon D'Kay suck Danny and Fat Cobra into the mess along with Orson. By the end of the issue, everybody's got somebody they have to fight for. This is something of a best-case scenario for an event tie-in: A compelling story, some quality continuity ties that demonstrate love for the protagonist, and a logical use of the event as a launching pad. More of that smooth, expressively stylized art sure helps, too.
Iron Fist is having an interesting story spin out of damnation for himself. The art and story are pretty good here and definitely a good read if you've been following so far or if you are tied up in Damnation.
