Marvel Unleashed is a brilliant comic book that is sure to delight animal lovers and Marvel enthusiasts. The artwork is stunning, the writing is clever and lighthearted, and the characters are all unique and charming. Marvel Unleashed #1is one of many reoccurring attempts at bringing back the animal-driven narrative trope made popular eons ago, and may just be one of the best. With incredibly comedic writing and a great showing of comic book technique in both the writing and art, this debut issue is a great debut for both young and new readers alike. Read Full Review

Pro tip: Imagine the voice of Doug from Up when you're reading D-Dog's lines.
It's a silly premise, but the creators get straight to work infusing it with heart. Their storytelling work is imperfect, but their passion is undeniable.
This is a slow-moving "building the team" story. It's elevated by two big assets: a remarkable amount of empathic characterization that makes each animal distinct, and a pretty intriguing villain scheme they're going to have to foil.
The art is messy and heavy, but it delivers smooth narrative flow and does a formidable job expressing the animals' feelings ("Messy and heavy" isn't necessarily bad, anyway). Drawing an abashed dog or a smug falcon are not everyday tasks for a comic more
