    AIPT - Jordan Richards May 28, 2014

Mighty Avengers #10 is a great issue, if you don't mind mostly talking. The writing is strong, the characters and characterization is utterly fantastic and the highlight of the issue, the tie-in aspect, is very well done. Even the artwork isn't as bad as it could be! Mighty Avengers continues to be the best Avengers book Marvel is currently putting out and you should not miss out on the fun. Read Full Review

Like chocolate and peanut butter, fun and superheroes are two tastes that taste great together. Al Ewing, already a Tumblr celebrity with his work on Loki: Agent of Asgard, displays a true affection for superheroes once again with Mighty Avengers #10, balancing their larger than life exploits with genuine human emotion and characterization. Ewing stated in the first issue that these were his favorite comic book characters growing up and now he gets to tell stories starring them. He wants them to be as fun as possible while displaying what made them his favorites as a kid. And they're quickly becoming our favorites, too. Read Full Review

As a tie-in to Original Sin, Mighty Avengers #10 does everything it needs to and more while adding to possibilities now open with Uatu's death. It doesn't feel like they did this for the shock value, Uatu's death is bigger than many want to admit. Doesn't matter if you know him or hate him, a Watcher is pretty much a Watcher, not much needs to be said beyond that. Read Full Review

Weekly Comic Book Review - Danny Wall May 30, 2014

The Bottom Line:Three somewhat distinct plot threads are weaved together, making the book read as very dense. With each thread building from both short-term and long-term continuity, and each ending with their own kind of cliffhanger, Mighty Avengers has a sense of momentum and scale that delivers good action now and promises more action in the future. What's really holding the book back from truly excellent comicbookery are more than a few art quibbles and the fact that the book has yet to really allow it's full cast to interact all together for several months now. In retrospect, weak may have been the wrong word to describe this issue. There are definitely strong aspects to it. The Blue Marvel/Ulana scenes as I described above, and of course the books trademark humour. Whatever you may think of Al Ewing as a writer, youve got to give him credit for sticking with his gags. Shining examples of this; for the series as a whole, the never-ending to be blanktinued gag that ends each issue, and for this issue in particular, the Deathwalkers legions of were-everything. In the end, this is certainly a fun read, at least in places. Where it really falters, is its inconsistency of quality. Read Full Review
