Ms Marvel & Wolverine #1 is a delightful team-up issue. Whilst it clearly is leaning on the release of the Ms Marvel TV show, it is absolutely able to stand by itself as a book filled with energy. The new series of one-shots begins this week with Ms. Marvel & Wolverinein a fun adventure that features a ton of X-Men. In fact, the X-Men may be one of the biggest draws for casual fans, which is a good pairing with a well-written Ms. Marvel. Read Full Review
Wolverine isn't always great as a featured character, but Ms. Marvel might be the perfect partner for him. Really, Kamala is the perfect partner for anyone, and Jody Houser does an excellent job showing just how much she can bring to the stories of other characters. Read Full Review
It's a pretty simple plot, with more than enough space devoted to "allow me to introduce myself" background on Ms. Marvel. And the bug-fighting action does drag on a bit; I'm not sure this needed extra pages.
But the storytelling's solid all around. Good art, good dialogue, a good rendition of Kamala's voice, and some thoroughly enjoyable jokes.
It was OK.
