Spider-Boy #3 aggressively chases the YA readers with two kid-friendly stories about Bailey's adventures reintegrating into an Earth that doesn't remember him. The tone and style of each tale are certainly appropriate for younger readers, but Slott tries too hard to be relatable, resulting in a corny, eye-rolling set of adventures. Read Full Review

This is honestly quite a fun book for younger readers. That being said I am not a young reader but I still laughed at it. So maybe a good all ages? The second story was much better this time around. First story was just silly, but I suspect that the purpose of this series is to build up the character of Bailey. He is growing on me.

Obviously geared towards a younger audience. But it reads fast and the art is fantastic. Tons of spec for this book. As they will be giving spider boy his own Rouges gallery.

This is a charming and surprisingly dense adventure. The art is consistently terrific, and the new characters enrich Bailey's cast as well as the wider Marvel universe. If you're looking for mature depth, Bailey's continued struggles with poverty are plenty to chew on. As usual, the B strip lags a little bit behind, saddled with a simplistic premise and stiff art. It still gives Bailey another chance to turn on the charm, though.
