I hope that they continue the art style between the two Gwen's as long as possible ha-ha. I am also interested to see how the story goes now that the villain has been revealed. Not to mention just EVERYTHING about this villain should be interesting if done correctly, which I'm sure it will be Read Full Review
So Spider-Gwen #30 is a bit of a mixed bag for me. What progress that story makes is fine on its own, but when we've all been looking forward to the Kingpin showdown for so long, we're bound to feel a little sour when it's postponed. At least until we get more answers, I think most will agree that this arc should have waited until after, unless it does somehow come full circle and wraps into the Kingpin's schemes, in which case, uh".why? If you've been up to date on Spider-Gwen, this is still worth your time. Just be prepared to deal with some other things before you get what you want. Read Full Review
Jason Latour spends a lot of time on conversations between the two, which should be riveting, but it doesn't feel like much of anything new was learned about either character. Read Full Review
The best thing Spider-Gwen can do right now is jolt itself back to when its plot was clearest, set a clear goal, and ignore any luring distractions and get back to basic storytelling. For all its great moments"and this series has had plenty"Spider-Gwen right now is doing the most to do the least. We can't wait until it weathers this storm and finds itself intact on the other side. While the two Watchers futz around with multi-versal Gwen nonsense, Gwen-65 herself and almost-but-not-quite Gwen-616 have some excellent conversations. The Gwen-on-Gwen stuff is all-time great, especially visually. Subtle stylistic tricks make it constantly clear that one Gwen is from 2018 and the other is from 1970. I wish that the rest of the issue lived up to the double-Gwen action, but it's just not as compelling. Taking yet another detour on the road to concluding the Gwenom vs. Murdock story is frustrating, too.
