Rated T
Ethan Sacks really should have retitled THE TERMINUS GAUNTLET to DIE HARD ON THE REBEL TRANSPORT because of the methodical way in which Valance operates in taking down the pirates felt very much like DIE HARD. I also loved the reference to Han Solo being in the custody of Boba Fett as Dengar sort of let's slip that he missed out on that Bounty when Valance gets some much-deserved payback. Read Full Review
Another great issue in this criminally underrated series. If you're looking for something different from the Star Wars norm, pick this issue up, it'll hook you! Read Full Review
Both of these things are set-up for Marvel's huge crossover event, War of the Bounty Hunters, which now promises to be really exciting. The event hasn't started yet, but we already have two little prelude subplots leading into it. And... that's the issue! Read Full Review
Both of these things are set-up for Marvel's huge crossover event, War of the Bounty Hunters, which now promises to be really exciting. The event hasn't started yet, but we already have two little prelude subplots leading into it. And... that's the issue! There was also a really fun interlude about T'onga and her wife Losha getting a big Nexu, teasing their return to the series later, but it was short and there's not much to talk about thereyet, although I will say I love how Sacks so casually includes LGBTQ rep in this series. The art by Paolo Villanelli was stellar as usual, as was the lettering by Travis Lanham. Next issue is a full interlude about Bossk filling time before War begins, and that promises to be good! The book does give us a little time with a few other characters as T'onga works to bring Losha on her side to go after Nakaha's killers. It's setup more than anything else and just comes across as a distraction amid all the other things going on in this already overstuffed book, so it doesn't connect well. The main stuff with Valance in past and present is good and his new-found drive toward some form of revenge will be amusing to watch, especially as we see Dengar just thrown around again and not all that effective. At least there are a few other bounty hunters out there that do seem competent that are closing in on Valance. Read Full Review
If you are already on board with this story and character I would recommend it, otherwise maybe skip this one and wait for more stuff about Baby Yoda to come out as that is surely what they are going to be doing next given the success of the TV show. Read Full Review
Unfortunately, adding in more players to the overall story doesn't result in a more effective adventure, as every page feels like we're jumping lightyears across the galaxy to witness only brief interactions from longer-running conversations. Read Full Review
