A really strong penultimate issue, which hope has laid the groundwork for a great finale. Read Full Review
The action dominates here and it's certainly fun to see T'onga and Zuckuss working well together in a bad situation and to see Valance go all-out once he's brought back to himself. I've always found him overpowered but it's certainly amusing when he gets into it. The beginning part of the book was my favorite, against my better judgment, as we get some really modern feel and flow to the dynamic between Losha and Vukorah as they work together while dealing with the Scourge menace. This kind of stuff has always been a part of the Star Wars comics, dialogue and designs that are of the time they're created, so I'm not rolling my eyes or frustrated with it. I simply got a sensible chuckle about it and moved on with the story. Vukorah's character arc is wild, however. Read Full Review
Serving as the final entry in the Star Wars: Bounty Hunters crossover with the Dark Droids event, the book largely wraps up all the necessary plot points to be able to move forward and put the entire experience in the rearview, while also managing to be relatively entertaining. Read Full Review
I really like this series and I'm sorry to see it go. It means that I am collecting zero Star Wars titles when I was initally collecting all of them. The price hike had me drop all but this one and now this one is ending. Alyssa Wong needs to get off Aphra, she's driven that in the dirt.
The team tries tirelessly to save Valance, despite the mutiny and betrayal. Somehow Losha shows up at precisely the right time. I did like the cats and their former enemy is likeable but I'm not sure she's redeemable.
It seems like this series is just finding it's footing.

I’ve enjoyed many of the stories in the book’s run, but this Dark Droids crossover was not one of them. The conclusion here felt somewhat rushed and much of the dialogue was at the level of a Saturday morning cartoon. With that said, I look forward to what I hope is a good series finale next issue.
