If you asked most Star Wars fans what characters they'd like to see explored more extensively in a spinoff series, you likely wouldn't get many saying the Inquisitors, as part of their allure is how little we know about them and how that amplifies their intimidation. Despite that, this debut issue of Star Wars: Inquisitors #1 could be the best single Star Wars book of the year so far, thanks to how it manages to honor not only what we already like about the figures, but also offers and entirely fresh perspectives on the villains. Star Wars: Inquisitors #1 brings us into a post-Jedi world and manages to keep the hope alive that this franchise is so well known to do. I enjoy getting to learn more about The Inquisitors and spending time with them and other Jedi in this post-Order 66 galaxy. Star Wars: Inquisitors#1 is a promising start to what looks be an exciting and interesting story into the fallen Jedi whose job is to hunt down surviving Jedi and carry out the will of the Emperor and Darth Vader as enforcers. Tensu Run, the Jedi created for the story, is seamlessly incorporated into the existing Star Wars mythos and is a fresh character that Barnes can explore along with The Inquisitors. Read Full Review
Overall, Star Wars: Inquisitors #1 is a great start to a comic that explores the darker side of the Star Wars universe. The only thing that could have made this better is if Jason Issacs was reading it aloud. Read Full Review
Inquisitors gets off to a solid start here and I'm looking forward to playing in this era some to see what they get up to in hunting down Jedi. While the joke is that there are a lot of Jedi running around when Luke is around, the reality is that there were thousands and thousands of them during the prequel era and so many more that had gone in different directions before the Clone Wars that are unaccounted for. The focus on Tensu Ran is off to a good start though I definitely need more personality out of him but I appreciate that he's taking the approach of not just living on the run but taking the fight to the Empire itself. There are a lot of neat places this can go and the team with Barnes and Rosanas heading it up is off to a strong start. Read Full Review
