This is another quality issue which makes this series four for four in my eyes. Lets hope that when the final issue lands that it matches the quality seen to date. These are great standalone issues, but read in a five issue collection they will will be a particularly rewarding as a study on Vader and his chilling reputation across the galaxy. Read Full Review
Not my favorite installment in the series, but still an admirable effort from Hallum and particularly the art team on this issue. Read Full Review
I get the point of this book and it's one that works from the perspective of it telling a Vader story in just how intimidating he can be. But our leading character was intimidated by a low-rank stormtrooper at a young age and convinced himself he could take down someone at the top " even as others sacrificed themselves in order for him to get that shot. It's a kind of grim installment that leaves a bit of a bad taste in the mouth in terms of story. Read Full Review
An entertaining read, sure, but it squanders the potential of the premise and fails to explore how Vader's terror could impact young members of the Rebellion. Read Full Review
The previous two issues were so good as to overshadow this one, but this is still a nicely written done-in-one.
Seemed weird that the Rebels who appeared in this book were mostly just faceless new characters. It would've been good to see a few characters that we knew. Still, a pretty interesting story overall.
This is not a bad story but it is nothing special as other Star Wars stories in the past. Largely, it is just forgettable. It could have been good to see what Vader said over the comms at the end. By far the weakest in the series.
