I loved the original. This was such an utter disappointment. It's clear it should be left alone.
SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN NO MORE!
This issue contains more Superior Spiders than you'd expect. But by the end, only one Spider-Man will be left standing. Dan Slott and Mark Bagley's entire run from Spider-Man to Superior has led up to this!
Rated T
For what may be the final time (right...) Superior Spider-Man has come to a close. With great art by Mark Bailey, eye catching color, and a sweet if awkward end to a romance that at one point was the main core of the book, Superior Spider-Man goes out on as a good of an issue as it possibly could. Rest in back issue bins Spider-Ock. You've earned it. Read Full Review
The issue does wrap things up a little neatly, but it's a satisfying end that leaves a lot of avenues open for more stories. Read Full Review
Though this series has been somewhat of a mess and should have been shorter, this issue itself was a blast. The story is pretty ridiculous but Slott does a good job wrapping things up with lots of fun. Slott does get fairly goofy in some of his stories but the jokes usually work and don't ruin the issue unlike the awful writing of Zebb Wells in ASM. This series and Spider-Boy served as great alternative stories to read until we finally get a new writer on ASM.
when I first heard Dan Scott was going to be back as Superior Spider-Man, I was hyped. Now though..... it's just forgettable. This series was fun, but it didnt need to exist. Sometimes it is bad to milk a product to the point where fans get bored of it.
This was... really bad. Besides Bagley's art, there was nothing enjoyable about this. Ock is right back where he was before this started, so... what was the point? Except now he doesn't even remember Superior, again???
Like what's next? 3 years go by and Otto is back remembering he was Superior Spider-Man and trying to ge tthose memories?
Even besides Otto's new terrible status quo, there was nothing new in this. Just rehashing old Slott stories, except they were rushed, poorly done and just reminders of "remember when I did this?" Only Spider-Boy was the new addition and even that was lame, I don't really care about him.
I liked the early parts, but this conclusion ruins this whole story. We get no new info more
