TALES OF SUSPENSE #102 is a thrill ride. The plot points are exciting and lie in the little details. The details also create excellent space for characterization. The illustrations bring the characters to life, and the coloring pulls the reader in. Read Full Review
3 issues down and we have 2 more to go with a decent amount of story left to be told. This one has been running at a pretty good pace thus far and I hope it doesn't slow down. Next issue should have some intriguing angles to hit us from based on who has shown up here and made themselves known. The chemistry between Bucky and Clint is always great to read as their mutual respect and mutual dislike for each other stand out from the narrative. I'll feel kinda bad when this wraps up but it's been a good ride so far. Read Full Review
With Barton and Barnes closing in on answers, the story is getting more intense. With a WTF?! ending, issue #103 will be one to look forward to if the writing, art, and color keep up with this consistency. Read Full Review
While Tales of Suspense #102 goes effectively nowhere until the final page, the interplay between Bucky and Clint keeps the comic highly entertaining, and the art from Foreman and Rosenberg keep the comic visually appealing. The tension and pacing keep the story from dragging, and it still manages to earn a recommendation overall. Pick this one up. Read Full Review
The old couple dynamic of Clint and Bucky makes Tales of Suspense stand out from similar concepts. Read Full Review
A fun book with some solid art and some good twists along the way.
Great dialog and humor, one of the funniest comics I've read in awhile. The story is still interesting, though I didn't find it quite as strong as the previous two issues. Overall the artwork was pretty good, but there were a few pages near the end I found a little sub-par.
Robin!?!? OMGLOL. I'm not really into humor all that much but this one line was more than worth the price of admission :)
The Hunt for Natasha continues, and the boys are furious with the discovery that someone's building a new Red Room and dropping lots of bodies in the process. There are solid bones for the plot, but the pace, tone, and visuals are all fumbled in this installment. The momentum evaporates after the first scene with Yelena and it takes the entire issue to rebuild it with a slightly different direction. Character poses are getting stiff. The colorist has to do more than her fair share to set the scenes - the background lines are woefully short of detail. For all the little faults, this is a decent comic; it's just an abrupt step down from the last two issues.
