I could read a book just about the Swap Force versions of the Avengers and Defenders.
As the chaos and madness continues to spread, the Avengers and the Defendersfind themselves confronted by the most unlikely characters in Marvel history! Would you believe - THE UNBELIEVABLES?
Rated T+
You need to be reading this series, it's grand. Read Full Review
OverallThis comic book continues to be a ton of fun and is proving to be rather fun to follow given how much strangeness is going on. In short. Alan Davis has given us a story that has more twists and turns than a Rubics Cube. Read Full Review
Tarot #3 has it's fair share of cool things to look at and enjoy, but ultimately doesn't do much of anything with these things. Read Full Review
TAROT #3 is a mess of a comic book. There is too much going on, and almost none of it is good. If you like nonsense and the hokeyness of older comics, maybe you will enjoy it. Paul Renauds art is really the only saving grace otherwise. To quote Valkyrie, Canst thou not see this is nuts?! Read Full Review
Okay. In my last issue review I mentioned the "error" of the Scarlet Witch slipping back to the wrong headpiece. It is apparent after this issue that it was intentional and other characters are/will be experiencing similar.
That out of the way, this issue really brought it's A game and it IS everything I miss about a lot of my favourite titles lately.... IT'S FUN!
As a long time comic reader it really appealed to my inner child and fangirl aspects. The Wacky Races bit (complete with Dick Dastardly / Muttley appearance) was great and out of left field completely (but not unwelcome).
I kinda love Alan Davis' writing now.
The mix and match / Swap - Force versions of the Avengers and Defenders in the more
Prelude:
Tarot has been passable so far, so let's see how it fares this week.
The Good:
I do like the changing of eras that the heroes are facing.
The Unbelievables are fun.
Art is good.
Always love multiversial shenanigans.
The Bad:
Nothing.
Conclusion:
Rebounding back, Tarot was really good this issue. Can't believe how inconsistent the series is though.
That was a crazy trip. Doc Surf LOL.
This was a bit too messy for me.
"Alternate universes collide" is, like, the opposite of a novel premise. So it's extra-disappointing to see veteran creators ☠️☠️☠️☠️ it up this badly.
