From the dialogue to the art and the expansion of the characters (Dr. Doom was barely even there and I cared about his problems), "The Next Big Thing was handled with a precision rare for most mini's, and this conclusion follows suit like forty thieves. Read Full Review
THE THING #6 concludes a series that every Marvel fan should be reading. Theres adventure, humor, a whole lot of clobbering, and at the end of the day, its simply a blast to read! Read Full Review
There's good ol' Silver Age storytelling entangled with cosmic and horror, and the end result is a delightful mini-series that is very much worth a read. Read Full Review
The Thing #6 takes all the nonsense and insanity of the previous five issues and surprisingly wraps it all up in a relatively neat package. The neatness of the conclusion doesn't excuse the awful dialog, the convenient plot contrivances, or the slightly downgraded art, but at least it's done. Read Full Review
Although I didn't much like the middle of this series, I really like where it ends up. This issue features some terrific Alicia action and it ties a nice, neat bow on top of the plot. (Dr. Doom gets a little shortchanged, though.)
The dialogue is minimal and some of it still sounds a little "off." The script's structure is impeccable, though. It makes plenty of room for spectacular art and Tom Reilly delivers in a big way. This is a satisfying read all around, but it's especially strong in its visuals.
Wraps up the crazy a bit too fast and clunky at times but it is still very nice to read because of the old feel and nostalgia especially with Tome Reilly's beautiful art and Jordie Bellaire perfect colors.
This series was all over the place, and while the ending definitely lines it up in continuity, it felt wholly separated until this point. If the plot was more exciting, that would've been fine. However, the plot was mediocre.
