Overall, this was a really solid issue of the series, and a welcome change of pace after the odd arc that preceded it. Phil Noto provides us with a visually astonishing cover of a giant Iceman looking over X-Force battling his minions. Dubbed "The Unkillable Kill", AoA Iceman is one of the most powerful mutants to cross over from the Age of Apocalypse timeline, anm this cover does a good job in showing how the odds are stacked heavily against X-Force. And more than anything other part of this issue, I have to applaud Phil Noto. He's the man who brought this series back for me with a single book. His art is crisp, clean, consistent and high quality from start to finish. The team is expressive by his hand, Betsy is cold and calculating and her brother is positively simmering with rage. This is a great issue for any lapsed readers to jump back on board the UXF train because the art is up to par with the script and this book is firing on all cylinders again. Read Full Review

This isn't about cold, clinical surgical strikes. This is about betrayal. The betrayal that brought Robert Drake to this point of being a psychopathic killer, and the betrayal of Kurt Wagner's ideals, necessary to undertake this indefensible action. So by the end of the issue, we really have worked our way back to The Iceman Cometh…. This really is a story about necessary illusions, and the question, after all of this unsanctioned life-taking, can the members of X-Force ever really return to the more honor-bound ideals of the X-Men? Phil Noto's style is something of a bridge between the sleek, textured work of Jerome Opena and the loose, frenetic work of Greg Tocchini. Luckily, Noto's work has the clarity Tocchini's lacked. Marvel could do far worse than bringing Noto back for a future story arc. Read Full Review
