While not as "important" as the last issue, this one was more entertaining. I didn't feel like I was falling asleep getting through the paragraphs per text box as the last one and seeing the X-Men deal with Weapon Alpha when he had no idea what he was getting into was fun.
Letting the X-Men get even a few moments of relaxation really helps the pace of the run and I'm glad we've already had a few even if they are almost immediately interrupted.
The biggest jump within these last two issues is how much more development we get in the X-Men themselves. We see Scott in doubt about himself, his relationship and struggling with a feeling he has about Corsair while Jean is coming to terms with her powers and holding a secret from Scott. S more
Not bad at all. Plenty of character moments, a few laughs, a few shocks & a fight that doesn’t take up the whole issue or feel forced. Good stuff
