Duke may be the perfect adversary for the Weapon X team, given how much better this issue was than the previous twelve. Being honest with itself makes this Weapon X pill easier to swallow than the ones Duke takes. Read Full Review
Mediocre art combines with some fun storytelling to give us an above average PSA about the dangers of drugs and the benefits of a non-interventionist foreign policy. Plus, we get to see Nuke and Sabretooth side by side! Pak gives us an enjoyable bit of action and proves that even if his plots arent filled with substance, he knows how to write these characters. There's still potential in this set up, bit the comic has yet to fully live up to it. Read Full Review
Will the mutants survive? Will Logan's band of super-healing mutants be able to take on all the drug-fueled death squads? Will the government be overthrown? Will Domino get her payday? Will I care? Read Full Review
Before diving into a huge shooty fight in which Nuke switches sides to fight against the mutants - big surprise - the team takes a desperately-needed strategy break where they consider what their endgame in Santo Marco should be. The appearance of actual thoughtfulness is balm in Gilead to me, and it makes the subsequent bloodbath & wisecrack-fest go down a lot easier. Yildiray Cinar is still putting in overtime to make the visuals both dynamic and detailed; his artistic effort is another flotation device keeping me from drowning in the sea of brainless "brakka brakka brakka."
Page after page of shooting, shooting, shooting at characters who shrug off bullet wounds = extended bloody pillow fight.
What can I say. The characterization still sucks. Domino & Sabretooth are still caricatures of themselves. Lady Deathstrike is still a prop. Warpath still has powers that come and go with plot. No improvement from the last 12 chapters.
