This issue's spotlight on Forge's psyche works quite well. Using Storm and Mystique as "angel and devil on his shoulder" is kind of genius. Forge is a character that has been portrayed as a two-dimensional a-hole for many years, but Thorne shows him as a hollow man not in touch with his different parts. He needs to externalize his inner voices as the two most important women in his life, which is quite sad when you think about it.
Contrasting Forge with Sage was another great move in this issue.
Now those were the pros. The cons: No To art. Still no idea who Tank is. La Diabla is not a very interesting villain and looks ridiculous.
