You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

And then there's a fact that on the surface, it sounds kind of silly. Professsor X is showing Magneto scenes of what certain points in history would have been like without him there. In the context of the script, it’s perfectly fine, but the whole It’s a Wonderful Life feeling of it all is more than a little bit strange. Nevertheess, MacKay’s unwavering close-up on Magneto manage to remain a very haunting picture of a person who has been through a hell of a lot over the decades. Read Full Review

X-Men #38 is a Magneto-heavy issue that doesn’t meaningfully resolve any of the master of magnetism’s ongoing plot lines or hold-ups. It reads more like filler than a character study, despite its superb artwork. Read Full Review

A skippable issue for sure and sort of a title that kind of...exists. Doesn't bridge anything, doesn't tie anything together. Just a well-written examination of "what ifs". Read Full Review

    Astonishingly Awful

The Muppets Christmas Carol did it better. Plus, WTF happened to Tony Daniel? The guy had a style and some real magic twenty-five years ago, but this is just going through the motions.

Catching up on this book and was semi interested into seeing what the have done with DNX so far. Last we left the team was battling over PA and ready to unleash the virus. however the FF come in to help out the X-men. Well. I didnt seem to miss much . lets talk DNX if you just read Xmen and I know its a crossover but humor me.
Issue #35 was the DNX prologue on the headdress. we get a Beast talking to Dark Beast issue. No action. literally just a Beast exposition dump and self reflection as he's consoled by Magik.
Issue #36 Another headdress with Prologue. Its Magneto and Dark Beast talking and 8 pages of action but mostly its talking and Beast trying to recruit Magneto with offers of curing him.
Issue #37 is all action b more
