As fun as this might be for people familiar with the character, Allen actually ends up writing a story that feels very much like a very solid introduction to the character for anyone who might be unfamiliar with her. Illyana has always been a really interesting character who even managed to get her own series outside of the X-Men long before such a thing came into fashion. Its always nice to see her showing-up under a cover bearing her name again. Read Full Review
In this one-shot, Magik fights vampires. Sure, there might be some details that could be filled in there, but there's not much about this standalone story that makes it essential reading for the overall Blood Hunt event unfolding in the Marvel Universe, and that's just fine. Read Full Review
This was fine for what it was. The art was solid, and I actually think Hervas could be a better fill-in artist for Phillip Kennedy Johnson's current Incredible Hulk run than Danny Earls. As for Allen, this is the first time I've read something from her and I think she has potential. Hopefully she does nothing but improve going forward.
