    X-Men: Book of Revelation #1 delivers one of the most engaging and essential tie-ins of Age of Revelation yet, peeling back the curtain on its central antagonist while introducing a new, vulnerable mutant whose fate could reshape the event. Strong character moments combine well with Netho Diaz's intricate art to create a story that's both unsettling and surprisingly heartfelt.     Age of Revelation Book One is solid, but could be more. For being a pivotal chapter for the story, its not explosive, and the twists are broadcast from the beginning of the book. Seeing Death brought low before Doug was truly inspired. MacKays strongest selling point is his character work, mix in Nethos art, and it made this middling chapter a lot more palatable, had it been produced by a weaker writer or artist. Read Full Review

    X-Men: Book of Revelation #1 is a slow-burning sermon that occasionally sparks into something greater. The pacing may nod off mid-monologue, but when its good (like that knockout final page) itsreallygood. The art soars, the setup intrigues, and the ghost finally gives the story a pulse. If only the script trusted its own silence half as much as it trusts its speeches. Read Full Review
