X-Men: Heir of Apocalypse #2 is a highly enjoyable action comic. Writer Steve Foxe gives every character something to do, and there are twists, and an elevated feel to a single fight scene that adds complexity to what could have easily been a quick read. Read Full Review
Personally, I think the second installment of X-Men: Heir of Apocalypse was even more fun than the first one. The stakes felt a lot higher in this one, for sure. Steve Foxe is fantastic at keeping the excitement going throughout the comic. He does a great job at giving each mutant their own chance to shine without watering down the other characters. I can't wait to see what's next for X-Men: Heir of Apocalypse! Read Full Review
X-Men: Heir of Apocalypse #2 is an interesting issue that feels like one long fight but it removes some players from the board. It continues its throwback style in both story and look. Still not INCREDIBLY into this book, unfortunately. I kind of felt like this was a weird way to take this story when you only have four issues to do the tournament. Well, kind of only three issues considering that you have to set the whole thing up in the first issue. Anyways, yeah, this was fine. It's not bad or anything, but it's also not something I see myself re-reading unless things really pick up in the second half.
