Warren Worthington III long ago - and at great cost - made peace with the seed of Death that Apocalypse planted within him. But as the contest to choose an heir rages on, ARCHANGEL takes the fight to Apocalypse himself, to make sure no one else suffers at the hands of En Sabah Nur!

Overall, X-Men: Heir of Apocalypse #3 is a thrilling wrap up to a dark X-Men story, with lasting consequences and a hopeful tease for the future. Pick it up if you're an X-Men fan who has been following the "Heir of Apocalypse arc. If you're new to this storyline, you might want to start from the beginning or read a synopsis before diving into this issue. Read Full Review
X-Men: Heir of Apocalypse #3 spins its wheels while we wait for the conclusion to kick off in the next issue. Gone are the well-plotted check-ins with characters and well-timed flashbacks, and instead, this issue is mostly characters standing around waiting. Read Full Review
The steady winnowing of contestants continues in X-Men: Heir of Apocalypse #3 as the stage is set for the miniseries' climax later this month. While that ongoing conflict creates moments for humorous or dramatic character spotlights, specifically on Mister Sinister and Emma Frost, there's little drama to be found in a story with such a familiar structure. As others have said in reviews, it spins its wheels a bit but it's still interesting. The art is really good and the character beats are entertaining. Sinister does sinister things, Gorgon does badass things, heroes do hero things. Not the best comic I read this week but still pretty good. Looking good so far for my prediction of Cable being the winner heh.
This isn't a BAD book, but I'm really excited to read the last issue so I can be done with it. I mainly picked this up because I thought it might have some sort of influence over the From the Ashes relaunch with the X-Men titles, whether it's on one title or multiple. So far, this has been a very "fine" book. Nothing really extraordinary has happened, but nothing incredibly dumb has happened either. I'm just struggling to care as much as I'd like to.
