I don't always read Valiant, but when I do, I love it. I was given the opportunity to read Valiant since it was a publisher that I hadn't really considered. Since Divinity II was just starting, I decided that it was the best way to go. Reading Divinity opened my eyes to Valiant, but Divinity II suckedme in. I will be sticking with Divinity II and Valiant, and I recommend that you do the same. Read Full Review
In a summer where both DC and Marvel are putting out some heavy hitting event stories Valiant are on pace to deliver the best of them all with Divinity II.To say that I am absolutely loving this series would be a bit of an understatement; even only two issues in there has been so much to enjoy.Divinity IIis reminding me why I love comics all over again, and I can't get enough of it. Writer Matt Kindt and artist Trevor Hairsine continue this thrilling mini series. Its hard to follow-up the shocking first issue that hit last month, but this issue absolutely delivers. To see two very different yet similar beings clash for ideals all their own is the stuff comic book dreams are made of. Valiant continues the hot streak of hits with Divinity II, and if this issues look into the future is any indication, the effects of this miniseries will be felt across the Valiant U. Divinity II # 2 gave us a some good moments with Abram coming to humanity's aid. Valentina has clearly affecting the world " and plans to do worse with good set up and character development by Kindt. Yet, the issue just read a bit too breezy overall. The art was superb and Kindt does make you want more at the end of the issue with an omnious cliffhanger. Read Full Review
On the art side of things, Trevor Hairsine continues to knock it out of the park. He's not given as much cosmic material to work with this time, but still manages to make even the bleakest pages look beautiful"and the fight between the two god people is absolutely superb. Divinity II #2 certainly builds an exciting narrative for readers to follow. Just when readers think they may know what is to come, the creators give us a curveball. Now everything is up in the air, including former allegiances and the fate of the free world. Be sure to check out Divinity II #2 as early as May 25th. It is a comic definitely worth reading. Cons: it's not long enough
Imagine you are 11 years old again. You liked reading comic books back then, right? You probably
thought of your own comic book stories also, right? Now imagine your 11 year old self had the
opportunity to write and publish your own comic. Divinity 2 is basically what that comic would
be.
