Comic Crusaders - Lucas Fashina Aug 29, 2019

Dr. Mirage #1 is the best first issue I've read in quite some time. This is an example of a writer and artist that are perfectly in sync enough to put on a creation clinic. If you're interested in the witchcraft and the craft of comics, there's not many better places to look. Read Full Review

    Graphic Policy - Alex K Cossa Aug 28, 2019

Whether this is your first time reading a Doctor Mirage or you're returning to the character then you're going to find a very compelling story. The creative team have delivered far above what I was expecting from the comic; in a week with some great reads hitting the racks, this is one that may get missed by too many people. Which is a shame because it's one of the best that I've read so far. Read Full Review

The Brazen Bull - Dave Robbins Aug 27, 2019

Doctor Mirage is back, or almost so, and from where exactly is not immediately clear, but regardless, this is the place to be for psychedelic ghost talking and a dramatic escape from nightmarish, seemingly self-imposed isolation. All is not what it seems, and that is pretty much the point. Read Full Review

Beyond The Panel - Jideobi Odunze Aug 28, 2019

No matter the hero, the supernatural experience is never something to pass up. Certainly not for Doctor Mirage who takes us right back into the realm of life and death. And as they, this is a gripping tale when we are exploring the lengths that someone is willing to go to defy death for the one they love most. Don't you want to see that happy ending? Because I sure do. Read Full Review

I love the various magical elements we get here but I also love all the detail of just how bad off Shan's home is here and what Robles put into the backgrounds to really make it come to life. Definitely a great starting point all around. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Aug 24, 2019

The afterlife has a very distinct feel in the hands of Visaggio, Robles, and Bellaire. Given how extensively its been explored in horror and fantasy fiction, thats quite an accomplishment in and of itself. Visaggio sets up a huge challenge for herself given the promise of an adventure that mirrors into an inverted reflection of the ancient Greek tale of Orpheus descent into the underworld to rescue Eurydice. This could be a really fun journey. Given Visaggios thoughtful treatment of the opening chapter, theres every reason to think this is going to be a powerful mini-series. Read Full Review
