It started off really strong and intriguing with an ambitious concept and legitimately good writing, but somewhere along the road it just falls on it's face, for me that is everything after #4, and becomes a repetitive story about the heroes discovering to be heroes again... For the 3rd time. Some of the characters discovering this don't make a whole lot of sense, like Sam Wilson who only hung up the shield for about 3 issues. The end conflict was also not satisfying at all. The best thing you can say about this event is that it was interesting and definitely deserves to exist, but the execution itself is where it fails to deliver.
This was utter crap when it was new and now it's a lump of crap in collected form. Save your money because this whole crap series can be found at any comic book store in the 50 cent or dollar bin.P.S. Nick Spencer should have been forced to retire after this debacle.
It's a P.O.S.! Nuff said.
