The 20 Issue Ceiling reviewed Books of Magic #9 Jun 28, 2019

This lies solidly in third among the Sandman Universe titles and that says something about how lucky we are to have this universe around and actually good in 2019.

First Dreaming and second is lucifer, right?

The 20 Issue Ceiling - Jun 29, 2019

I think they are interchangeable depending on the week, pretty much a tie lol If I had a gun to my head and had to pick one, it would be The Dreaming for #1 though.

Fantastic. I'd say this book follows Doom characteristically more than Fantastic Four has. I'm Fantastic Four he kind of feels like he just flipped flopped from wanting to be a hero to going immediately back to his old self. This feels more right.

Besides a few minor parts, Doctor Doom 1 was fantastically written from almost start to finish. Larroca’s art was by far the best part of this issue by the way. Cantwell delivers a very interesting plot and my only complaint is that Doom seemed weak and out of character when he surrendered immediately to the UN

Not out of character at all if you've been reading anything with Doom from the past couple of years.

Loved it! The writing by Donny Cates was as on point as always and Geoff Shaw's pencils were fantastic.

I have been absolutely loving this book which is odd because I hated the previous series (Mighty Captain Marvel) by the same writer. Stohl does a great job of humanizing Carol and making me identify with her more as a person (especially because I'm a New Englander myself), the New England accent is dead on which is a plus for me and I love the supporting characters. The art by Carlos Pacheco (the more

Welcome to the Oblivion Bar where the first round is on me and the pretzels are free! Be warned: like the pickled eggs at the bar, this issue is going to get SPOILED rotten.

Jason Aaron and Thor go together like peanut butter and fluff, like hands and grenades, like integrals and area under the curve, like balloons and animals, or Walt Disney World and FUN!!! Point is: we don’t skip more

I enjoyed the Legacy one-shot. But this did not appeal to me--what can I say. Wish it did. It's the only Legacy book I picked up this week.

DS4252 - Oct 5, 2017

that's a damn shame cause Iron Fist, Venom and Royals were pretty damn good Legacy books too not to mention all the non Legacy books that were good like Guardians, Old Man Logan and Astonishing

This issue is really awesome I have not been a fan of the Mark Waid run so far. The Kang arc was okay but the Mike Del Mundo art really hurt it for me with the exception of the Thor one-shot Secret Empire tie in I liked that one and I consider the issue before this current one to be god-awful. But this issue is exactly how a superhero comics should be written it was fantastic and the art by Jesus more
