You're probably right on most writers today leaning towards the left. However, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think most comics as a whole have been left-leaning.

Lobdell gave Red Hood incredible things, All-Cast, resurrecting Willis was a good idea, but was not well managed(Taylor copied that idea with Nightwing and his half sister) Solitary, the Untitled were good characters, however they could have a better development.

Merlyn - Aug 11, 2021

@LeiaFavaz: I agree with your assessment about Lobdell, I didn't say he's Alan Moore or something, just that he got Jason and he took him in a good direction. Very good analysis, I mostly agree with it.

A good chance to do something really good and DC as usual throws it off the balcony. I like that Jason Todd is being starred in several books, although I confess that I would prefer the series, even Lobdell's work seems better than this beginning, it feels slow, it is an interesting but poorly designed proposal. Art is not bad but I think it could have been better.

And DC is in the need to milk Jason's skinny cow of death again even if it is necessary since this series points to the two protagonists, Jason and the Joker. This Jason is a bit wild, but not as wild as I expected.

Oh boy, Azzarello is back. That's not necessarily a good thing. As a Jason Todd fan he baited me with the sell of the book though. Now there is an interesting story here and the final page sure blew up the stakes. But the dialogue is so annoying at times and it just sounds like ramblings from a mad man. Also he managed to throw in at least a controversial thing with Wild Dog which wasn't necessary more
