From the little I've seen of fitzmartins writing of anything batman she seems to have trouble giving the main characters familiar voices. The males dont think or speak like males they speak like.. well like chicks or like caricatures of males. That's a pretty serious problem for a writer on a batman book.

If her goal is to feminize Tim Drake shes well on the way. He s started to sound like a teenaged girl. Batman once again is portrayed as a cardboard cutout.

The Tim story is just awful, honestly I laughed at how bad it was, nothing in it was good.

My bet is DC knows it too and will try to ignore Tim's metamorphosis further down the track. Honestly on the most fundamental levels fitzmartins writing just stinks. Is she blackmailing the editors perhaps? I cant think of any other reason her writing would be anywhere near the flagship character at DC.

I don't know, the Tim story ended with the "warning" we'll see more of Tim in 2022. I mean, of course we'll see more of him in 2022 but I took it as we'll see more of this version of him, which would be horrible. And you know if they would steer away from the bi thing, the crazies who have weird fetishes with character would totally screech like idiots. That's the problem with these types of moves, once you've done it it's hard to get it undone.

Stopping crime and saving lives does not have an identity label. It does not care about your political, religious, racial, gender, sexual labels. But since the values of fighting crime/saving lives no longer a priority for DC writers, they have to find something else to focus on. DC hires horror writers have could care less about justice.

Well, in The Joker book a writer did state "Criminals are the REAL citizens of Gotham" so in their minds stopping crime isn't a good thing anymore.

I'm cautiously optimistic that Williamson over on the main is going to make the sales speak louder than the activist crap and DC will recalibrate a little. I'm not expecting miracles but I'm hoping for an improvement writing and approach wise.

The joker book still had Tynions stink on it so I wouldnt have any high expectations in quality ie content. Its line a fart in an elevator as someone is leaving and another enters it. It had to dissipate.

It wasn't Tynion with that line, it was Sam Johns in the backup, it's an LGBT writer. She probably embraces that weird "be gay, do crime" thing that's so idiotic. I swear, it's like some people want the total breakdown of the social fabric of society, I've said it before, it reminds me of the beginnings of Bolshevism in Russia.

You know their theory...breakdown values and norms so that you end up relying on government. The communists and the nazis released criminals into the streets and used the chaos to scare populations complying and relying on government. You know their thinking "it can work it just hasn't been done right yet".

From what I've read all things batman went through Tynion first then editorial. Hopefully we see less of this crap now that hes left DC.

I don't know if all of them are necessarily inclined towards the "relying on government" thing. A lot of them have anarchist tendencies, so their "solution" would rather be no government at all, which is even more dumb. But I don't even know if it's necessary political for all of them, most of them seem determined just on destroying first and foremost all social norms. I never though we'd be here as a society but I guess Einstein was right about those two infinite things.

I think they genuinely hate our society and want to completely tear it down by overthrowing all of our values and replacing them with theirs. It's not about shock value so much as it is about brainwashing people through subversive propaganda until enough idiots buy into it and try to do something about it. @Ming: We don't have enough data to see how that would work out, unlike communism/socialism where we have more than fucking enough data to realize it's a totalitarian nightmare but in theory anarchy requires no government at all.
