The good thing is that this miniseries finally ends.
Great art from Smallwood, but holy shit this is some of the worst character assassination I've seen in a Big 2 comic since Marvel's Civil War.
"The most acclaimed book of the year continues!
After a tragic confrontation leaves a Justice Leaguer dead, Christopher Chance, the Human Target, is one step closer to solving his own murder...but also one step closer to his own grave. With only six days left, can he find the truth through webs of lies?"
Why you do my boy Guy like this?

Crap. Tom King is good sometimes and other times a very bad writer.

The awful story and art continue on.

In the blood-covered Supergirl cover of this story, the question is asked should an arch-villain be killed? DC writer Tom King's message is ultimately yes. But not before being punished, multilated, and spending many years in the Phantom Zone away from life. Troubling story and writing again from Tom King. Do horrible things happen in war? Yes. But the definition of war and "organized crime" bymore

Awesome review and questioning. I don't know how some people praise a lot this comic. Despite show messages with a very dubious morality. Like the ones you said, Supergirl letting someone kill a old man, despite he served his condemn and be regretful of his crimes. Or Supergirl letting people stoning to someone. King doesn't let Supergirl be a heroic and humanist character like she has been. He prefer to make a vengeful character, accessory to murder.
I leave this story as I came into it, with the sense that this was never a Supergirl story. It was a Ruthye story that got Supergirl attached to it. While Ruthye's character stays well told and consistent, Kara continues to be pasted in with little to no regards about her characterization. She becomes whatever is needed to tell Ruthye's story.
Maybe for a Supergirl fan the real payout o more

What a disastrous end for a misinterpretation representation of Supergirl in this series.
Edit: Now I realize why DC Comics it's been so bad in sales. Since DC hired this writers with edgys views for all characters. This make long time and casual fans walk away of this comics. And I know there is some characters, specially in DC who are good, classic being edgys. But edgy, killer, antih more
